Avocado mousse – en.Kung-Food

Last week I bought twelve avocados with a grand plan to make lots of guacamole as I had a house party planned. I mean, who doesn’t love guacamole?! So, yesss, I had avocado plans, but…oh, I dunno, the night before the party, I realized that the avocados were still hard as a rock. Like, no softness AT ALL. That meant I was left with a crazy amount of avocados that became ripe days later. All I could go to was avocado pie and guacamole so I googled some recipes and some ways to put avocados to a good use. Then I found this interesting avocado mousse. I was intrigued. I did some research. I tested a few times and boom! Here we are. I guarantee avocado mousse is extremely nice, the perfect solution if you have a couple avocados left.

INGREDIENTS 4 medium sized avocados 8 oz sour cream 2 small onions, grated 2 Tbsp lime juice 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce 1 cup (8 oz) mayonnaise salt to taste (*) 1-1/2 cups hot water 1/2 cup cold water

4 envelopes unflavored gelatin

Place all ingredients in a blender except water and gelatin. Sprinkle gelatin with the half cup of cold water and add the one and-a-half cup of hot water until dissolved. Blend into the avocado mixture. Pour into a ring mold and refrigerate until set (at least two hours or more). Serve avocado mousse at room temperature.
