I love cooking chicken: it’s unexpensive, tasty, tender (if cooked properly) and it can be prepared in so many different ways it’s unbelievable! These orange Rum glazed chicken breasts are no exception: everything just caramelizes perfectly on the chicken breasts, keeping them juicy and full of flavor. The alcohol will burn off giving you absolutely melt-in-your-mouth goodness in just 25-30 minutes; orange Rum glazed chicken is the perfect thing for Sunday’s kick-off … or any other day you need to satisfy your finger food craving or newest obsession with chicken. Instead of chicken breasts you can use chicken wings, they can be even better. Talking about the Rum, I suggest you to use Sailor Jerry Rum but any other Rum will work as well, also according to your personal taste. So, what are you waiting for? Pour yourself a good glass of Sailor Jerry and get cooking some delicious orange Rum glazed chicken!

If you want to make your steaks extra tasty and really tender, then you could consider using a marinade. Garlic marinated steak is one way to make your usual steak more tender and flavorful: the sweet and salty flavors of the marinade meld with the meat as it marinates in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. When it’s time to cook the steak, the results will be juicy and fragrant, as the marinade adds an exquisite flavor and the final result will be so tender and juicy. Garlic marinated steak will literally melt in your mouth. You can use as much garlic as you wish, according to your personal taste. Personally I like to use basically one clove for each person, but that’s just me, as I really love garlic, epsecially the one I grow in my garden, which is tasty but not aggressive, if you know what I mean!

I love any kind of potato salad, a dish that is pretty common in many countries such as Germany, Italy, Hungary and the United States; Creole potato salad, though, is probably my favorite. Potato salads are delicious, especially in the summertime, with a tender piece of yummy BBQ chicken or some ribs. Creole potato salad is particularly tasty thanks to ingredients such as Creole mustard, red and white onions, Cayenne pepper, mayonnaise, relish and more, much more. I love Creole cuisine, I don’t know why, because I’m not from the South or from Louisiana so there’s not a particular reason why i love it so much. I just know that, being Creole cuisine influenced by French, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and Native American culinary traditions, there’s something special about it. Once you’ve tried Creole potato salad, you’ll probably be addicted to it! If you cannot find Creole mustard where you live, simply substitute any whole grain spicy mustard.

My family (well, me most of all but also my borther and my parents) loves sausage and peppers, which is the reason why every now and then we have a yummy sausage and peppers burger. Either used for a rich pasta or for a sandwich, these two ingredients are a must in my house. Even my friends and my girlfriend love them, so that’s why I decided to twist it a bit for a change and serve it burger style. It was a hit so I decided to enter it.  These burgers are juicy, flavorful, hearty and topped with a spicy homemade marinara sauce (even though you can top them with almost anything you like, from ketchup to mayonnase, but also spicy sauce or yogurt sauce). They’re fast to put together, easy for a weeknight or weekend – and so good, they’ll go on your endless rotation list. I used provolone cheese, a typical Italian cheese, but you can vary and use mozzarella or Asiago cheese or just cheddar cheese: as long as it melts, that’s fine! Sausage and peppers burger is such an inviting recipe, maybe not very indicated if you are on a diet but hey, you only live once!

Garlic mashed potatoes are rich and very tasty, a delicious variation of a classic side-dish made even tastier by using garlic (I would say a lot of garlic, but that’s up to you and your personal taste). You can also use roasted garlic: in the oven it mellows its flavor and brings out its natural sweetness. Adding it to mashed potatoes seasoned with fresh herbs elevates an old-fashioned favorite, that’s for sure. Garlic mashed potatoes is the perfect accompaniment for dishes like fried chicken, chicken with herb-roasted tomatoes or other meat dishes, either pork or beef. You can also use red potatoes, the dish will still be extremely tasty but definitely more colorful. I warmly suggest you to top garlic mashed potatoes with green onions: for some reason I find this combination terrific!
